Swae in one line

Swae is a free iPhone app for pro live streaming: scenes, live chat, alerts and overlays, on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and more at once, from the phone alone.

In a paragraph

Swae turns an iPhone into a live production studio. Streamers build scenes with chat, alerts, goal bars and effects, switch between cameras including a GoPro, a DJI Osmo or Meta glasses, and go live on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and other platforms at once, with no PC or capture card. Swae is free on the App Store.

The longer version

Swae turns an iPhone into a live production studio. Streamers build scenes with chat, alerts, goal bars and effects, switch between cameras including a GoPro, a DJI Osmo or Meta glasses, and go live on Twitch, Kick, YouTube and other platforms at once, with no PC or capture card. Signing in to Twitch or Kick is all it takes: Swae gets the stream key itself. Its optional service, Swae Relay, keeps IRL streams on air through tunnels and dead zones. It bonds the phone's Wi‑Fi and cellular connections, sends one upload to up to six platforms, and when the signal drops shows viewers the streamer's own Reconnecting screen with their Twitch and Kick chat, then carries on with the same broadcast when the phone is back. Swae is free on the App Store; Swae Relay costs $9.99 a month, with five hours free to try. Swae is made by Suhail Saqan, and its source code is open under the GPL-3.0 licence.

What it does

- Scenes, switched live: cameras, chat, alerts, goal bars, recent events, text, maps, images, web pages and QR codes, laid out on the picture, plus effects.

- Chat and alerts from every platform: Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Rumble chat in one feed, Swae's own alerts or a streamer's StreamElements and Streamlabs ones, and moderation from the camera.

- Every platform at once: sign in to Twitch and Kick with no key to copy, add YouTube, Rumble, TikTok, Instagram or Facebook with theirs, and go live on all of them together.

- Any camera: a GoPro over Wi‑Fi, a DJI Osmo, Meta glasses or a drone becomes a camera in a scene.

- Built for streams on the move: automatic quality, an alert when a stream drops, an Apple Watch app with chat and stream health, and a Live Activity on the Lock Screen.

Swae Relay

- A server between the phone and the platforms: the phone sends it one stream, and it sends it on to up to 6 platforms at full quality.

- Bonds the phone's Wi‑Fi and cellular connections (SRTLA), so one can fade while the other carries the stream.

- When the signal drops, viewers see the streamer's own Reconnecting screen with their Twitch and Kick chat, instead of a frozen or offline player; when the phone is back it's the same broadcast, and one VOD.

- Screens the streamer designs: Reconnecting, Be right back, Privacy, Starting soon and Ending. If the streamer lets them, moderators put up Be right back and Privacy from chat.

- $9.99 a month or $79.99 a year, or 10 hours for $3.49; 5 hours free, no card.
