How to livestream from Meta glasses to Twitch, Kick or YouTube
Updated · 2 min read · By Suhail Saqan
Quick answer
Pair your glasses with the Meta AI app. Then in Swae, open Settings › Gear › Meta glasses, tap Connect glasses, and let Swae use the glasses' camera when the Meta AI app opens. Tap Use on your scene, and go live: the glasses are the camera, and your iPhone adds your chat and alerts and sends the stream to Twitch, Kick, YouTube or any other platform.
Why use Swae with the glasses
On their own, the glasses go live on Instagram and Facebook. Through Swae, your iPhone takes the glasses' camera and streams it anywhere: Twitch, Kick, YouTube, Rumble, TikTok or your own server, or several at once. And because the iPhone builds the stream, you get what the glasses can't do alone: chat and alerts on screen, scenes, and switching to the phone's own cameras.
It's the most natural point of view there is for cooking, walking tours, fishing, workshops and anything you do with your hands.
What you need
- Meta AI glasses with a camera, paired with the Meta AI app on your iPhone.
- An iPhone with iOS 18 or later and Swae (free).
- A platform set up in Swae: Twitch, Kick or YouTube.
Connect your glasses
- Pair the glasses with the Meta AI app. If you use your glasses already, this is done.
- Put them on. Keep the glasses on and connected to your iPhone.
- Connect them in Swae. Settings › Gear › Meta glasses, then tap Connect glasses.
- Allow the camera. The Meta AI app opens: let Swae use the glasses' camera, then come back to Swae. Your glasses show up as connected.
- Put them on stream. Tap Use on your scene. The glasses become the camera in that scene.
- Go live. Tap GO LIVE on the camera, check the review, and go.
"The glasses' camera isn't allowed"? Allow it for Swae in the Meta AI app, then try again. If Swae says the glasses aren't available on your iPhone, check that the Meta AI app is installed.
Make it a show
- Switch to your face. Make one scene with the glasses and one with the iPhone's front camera, and switch with a tap when you want to talk to chat.
- Read chat without looking down. Turn on chat read aloud, or keep an eye on it from your Apple Watch.
- Watch the heat. Swae shows how warm the glasses are. On long streams, give them a break when they get hot.
Questions
Can Meta glasses stream to Twitch or Kick on their own?
Not from the Meta AI app, which goes live on Instagram and Facebook. With Swae, your iPhone streams the glasses' camera to Twitch, Kick, YouTube and other platforms.
Does my iPhone need to stay with me?
Yes. The glasses send their picture to your iPhone, and your iPhone does the upload, so keep it in a pocket or a bag.
Can I keep streaming through bad signal?
Yes, with Swae Relay: it bonds Wi‑Fi and cellular, and shows your Reconnecting screen if the signal drops.
