The best iPhone apps for live streaming to Twitch, Kick and YouTube

Updated · 4 min read · By

Quick answer

For a quick stream to one platform, its own app is enough: Twitch, Kick's Go Live app, or YouTube once you have 50 subscribers. For a full show from your iPhone, with overlays, alerts and several platforms at once, Swae is free. Moblin is a free, open-source alternative for IRL streamers; Streamlabs and PRISM are free for one platform, and charge for multistreaming.

We make Swae, so read this knowing that. To keep it fair, every fact about another app comes from its own website, help pages or App Store listing, linked below, as they stood on October 19, 2026. Prices are in US dollars.

Swae

A free iPhone app built to run the whole show from the phone: scenes you switch live, chat from Twitch, Kick, YouTube and Rumble, alerts (its own, or your StreamElements and Streamlabs ones), goal bars, text, maps and web pages on the stream, and effects. It signs in to Twitch and Kick and gets your stream key for you, and takes a GoPro, DJI Osmo, Meta glasses or drone as a camera. Multistreaming from the phone is free.

Its paid part is Swae Relay ($9.99 a month, $79.99 a year, or 10 hours for $3.49, with 5 hours free): it bonds Wi‑Fi and cellular, sends one upload to up to 6 platforms, and when the signal drops, shows your own Reconnecting screen with your Twitch and Kick chat until you're back on the same broadcast. iPhone only.

The platforms' own apps

Twitch goes live from the Twitch app with the camera or a game, and needs no stream key (Twitch).

Kick's separate KICK - Go Live app streams to Kick for anyone, with no Affiliate or Partner status needed. It can show both cameras at once or share your screen, up to 1080p. You can read chat in it, but not reply.

YouTube needs 50 subscribers to go live from the YouTube app, and may limit how many people can watch a mobile stream until a channel has 1,000. With a stream key, from an app like Swae, YouTube lists no subscriber minimum.

Use them for a quick stream to one platform. For overlays, alerts, other cameras or several platforms at once, you need a broadcasting app.

Streamlabs

Free for streaming to one platform, with "limited free themes" (Streamlabs). Its Alert Box, Chat Box, Event List and Goals are the widgets many streamers already know. Multistreaming, Disconnect Protection (a Be right back screen instead of going offline) and Network Boost (Wi‑Fi and mobile data together) come with Ultra, at $27 a month or $189 a year. Streamlabs notes that custom RTMP has no alerts, chat or widgets, and that on iOS widgets are off while you broadcast your screen (Streamlabs).

PRISM Live Studio

NAVER's free app signs in to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and BAND, and since version 3.10.1 Kick, with custom RTMP for the rest. The free version has ads, a watermark and an outro, and streams to one channel; PRISM Plus ($9.99 a month or $79.99 a year, with a two-week trial) removes them and streams to up to 6. It has a chat widget and web page overlays.

Moblin

A free, open-source (MIT) iOS app for IRL streaming, "mainly targeting Twitch". It speaks RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, SRTLA, RIST and WHIP, bonds cellular, Wi‑Fi and Ethernet, and has chat, alerts from Twitch events, text, map, web page and QR code widgets.

Larix Broadcaster

Softvelum's app sends to almost any server, over SRT, RTMP and RTMPS, WebRTC WHIP, NDI HX2, RTSP, RIST and Zixi. Without Premium ($9.99 a month or $119 a year), a stream runs 30 minutes, plus 30 more with an overlay, then stops. It has image, text, HTML and GPS overlays.

What about IRL Pro?

IRL Pro is a popular IRL app, but as far as its own site shows, it's for Android: there's no iPhone version.

How to choose

Questions

What's the best free app to stream to Kick from an iPhone?

For a plain stream, Kick's own Go Live app. For chat, alerts and scenes on your Kick stream, Swae is free, and signs in to Kick so there's no stream key to copy.

Can I stream to Twitch and Kick at the same time from my iPhone for free?

Yes, with Swae or Moblin. PRISM's free version streams to one channel, and Streamlabs keeps multistreaming for Ultra. Twitch's rules ask that your Twitch stream doesn't show other platforms' chat.

Which iPhone streaming app keeps you live in a dead zone?

One that bonds connections and holds a screen on a server while you're away: Swae Relay, or Streamlabs Ultra's Network Boost and Disconnect Protection. Moblin bonds connections with SRTLA too.

Do I need OBS to stream from an iPhone?

No. Swae, Streamlabs, PRISM, Moblin and Larix all stream straight from the phone.
